Having the best staff to help you build a sustainable business is essential. So how do you know the difference between the right and the best candidate for the job?
Being able to recognise how a new staff member will integrate into your team stems from how the interview process is conducted. So you have chosen a number of candidates based on their CV, accompanying Cover Letter and questionnaire. Then comes the scheduled face to face interview where you have the opportunity to make an informed opinion based on how the candidate behaved, communicated, his/her personality, his/her own unique business knowledge, plus how much they know about your business. There is a lot to evaluate!
So I ask the question of how does a candidate familiarise themselves with your business activities, your commitment to the human assets of your business, your target market, your case studies, your reviews etc? Having outdated content on your website will not attract the best candidates nor will it attract more customers. Surprisingly, a number of businesses are not investing the time, resources, or expertise required to fully maximise the opportunity and rewards of having well-written and up to date content on their websites.
